About this experience
A private guide meets you at first light, when the great shrine of Fushimi Inari is hushed and the foxes guard empty paths.
You climb the famous tunnels of vermilion torii gates up the wooded slopes of Mount Inari, learning the rice-god folklore and the merchants’ donations behind each gate, pausing at the Yotsutsuji viewpoint over the waking city before the morning rush.
