About this experience
Leaving the known dunes behind, a private driver-guide steers a 4x4 across hamada plains and dry riverbeds toward terrain few travellers reach.
You stop at a Gnawa musicians’ village in Khamlia, descend to a nomad well, and walk the black fossil beds where 400-million-year-old sea creatures lie pressed into the stone — all timed to bring you to a silent, empty dune crest for sunset and tea.
