About this experience
After hours, when the day-visitors have gone, you are escorted through lamplit corridors to a private courtyard of the old palace, its frescoes and mirror-work lit only by candle and oil-lamp.
A royal Mewari banquet is served on silver — gatte ki sabzi, junglee maas, daal baati churma and saffron kheer — while ghoomar dancers and a sarangi player perform across the flagstones, the maharana’s table customs shared between the courses.
