About this experience
In a quiet lake-side studio a master painter, heir to generations of the Mewar school, sets out his squirrel-hair brushes, hand-ground mineral pigments and burnished wasli paper for you alone.
Over an unhurried session you learn to mix colours from malachite, lapis and gold, lay a wash and draw the fine single-hair lines of a peacock or a palace scene, completing a small painting to carry home. Tea and Rajasthani sweets are served as you work.
