About this experience
In the cool before dawn the burners light and your balloon rises over the vast red plain, the granite and sandstone jebels casting long shadows as the sun clears the horizon.
You float in near silence above siq canyons, dunes and the natural arches that make Wadi Rum unmistakable, the whole protected area spread beneath you. On landing, champagne and a Bedouin breakfast are set out on rugs in the sand.
